Authorities Detain Chinese Man Who Crashed into Vegetable Market in Chbar Ampov District

PHNOM PENH: Authorities have sent a Chinese man to the Chbar Ampov District Police Inspectorate after he crashed his car into vegetable stalls set up on the sidewalk in Chbar Ampov District at 4 am on Monday, 17 October. The crash caused both serious and light injuries to at least 10 people.

A drunk-driving Chinese man hit and crashed into several tuk-tuks and vegetable stalls seriously injuring several people and damaging traders' produce. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Deputy Commissioner of the Chbar Ampov District Inspectorate, Beng Danara, has told EAC News that after the incident, owners of the vegetable stalls and witnesses in Chbar Ampov District were immediately sent to the Road Traffic Police Office for questioning and enforcement.
